Dear Friend
I read an amazing thing this week: that we are all stardust! That we come from billions and billions of stars exploding and reforming, of elements in space and time coming together, over and over, until they become us.
How amazing is that! You may agree with it or not (do let me know your thoughts in the comments), but it certainly got me thinking…
Those stars so far above me, or in the sky over you, might be our ancient shared ancestors. Maybe from those stars came our shared existence, that connection between all humanity. Maybe I came from the same star as you, from the same star as Desmond Tutu or Maya Angelou (particular heroes of mine!). Difference is truly only skin deep, each of us is made from the same elements, has the same potential.
There are many words for the interconnectedness of earth and humanity. Maybe now we should add Stardust. For if we are all stardust spread across this world and far beyond, mingling, spreading, reforming, sprinkling life’s magic between us, we can only learn from one another, can only love one another.
We are all united in our stardust souls.
Stardust is magical, a sprinkling of light and soul in every one of us. We all hold that magical light within us. Sometimes it seems so far away, it is almost invisible. But it is there, in everyone and everything, if we only look carefully and patiently until the light reaches us.
A Supernova is the explosion of a massive star, which sends its elements into the ether to reform and live again as new life. But ‘super nova’ could literally mean ‘wonderfully new’. Each of us is a Supernova: we are wonderfully new but also with the potential to release our stardust into the ether, to have our own Big Bang, whether anyone sees it or not.
One day, when we leave this earthly, bodily existence, we will leave our stardust to generations after us, through space and time, connecting universes, plants, humans, everything and anything. We will free our stardust to join with others and create new life, new stars.
Our role now is to polish that stardust so it brings light, not fire, so it nurtures and doesn’t destroy, to share what is good and reform what may be harmful so we leave a legacy of colourful, life-enhancing stardust.
We are all connected. We are stardust.
Shine on, my Soul Seeking friends!

I love the idea that we are made of stardust and thus connected. Life on Earth is a miracle. Every human is a miracle. How can a combination of chemicals become alive? I like how you wrote about this. My favourite sentence: Stardust is magical, a sprinkling of light and soul in every one of us.
I loved thinking about our inner star dust!
